Were cycling with rain. We sat drenched outside. The landlord came out without a greeting, he just whispered: Beer garden is closed ... when asked if we could get bags inside in the parlor, we could only get a "no" and went back in. The last time we were there.

As a local, I am ashamed of strangers with what kindness you will meet his guest here !!! Outrageous, unfriendly and absolutely overwhelmed it is probably best. I will not visit any more and I can only advise against it.

My least favorite brewery on the Bierquellenweg but a scenic spot nonetheless. I had a tasty enough Flammkuchen (think German pizza) and their Dunkles is not bad but tough to compete with Gradl and Herold. That said, the meals look good and very popular with locals eating out.

Cozy restaurant in natural wood construction. Nice host couple, good service and attractive prices. Beer and snacks from our own production. I love Thursday, because there is delicious shish kebab there. However, you should reserve early for this. It can be fed both inside and outside. In addition, guest rooms are available. Parking is available on site. Ideal stopover for cyclists who want to get to Bayreuth via the Rotmainquelle.
